I did it today! I walked four miles! At two miles I was feeling on top of the world. Hard to believe 1.5 used to be so difficult. At three miles I decided to push on and hit the four mile mark for the first time. I kept thinking to myself, “I am so winning right now.” At about 3.7 I was pondering whether I could call someone to come pick me up and take me home. I suppose that’s one value in walking outside. You have to push yourself at least enough to get back home!
I couldn’t even tell you the last time I walked four miles. Three or so was my standard even “back in the day.” This pushed me to just over 73 miles so far.
Weirdly, this is the first time my feet hurt when I finished. I’ve gone through whole body hurting, legs hurting, shins hurting. Never had my feet hurt. But immediately when I took my shoes off, my feet hurt. I’m okay now, but it’s odd.
It’s been a good day. I guess that’s what I did with my extra hour in the day. I walked. FOUR MILES.
